Lupin the WolfBefore and after that luscious fur coat.
Lupin's bones are aluminum wire, with two-part and liquid epoxy for reinforcement, covered in a skin of gauze and latex, and jeweling beads for eyes. He is finished with a luscious fur coat of calf fur, hog's hair and a raccoon tail. Saddle and tongue are made from Kenka Fabrics. KenkaMori CharactersEach character has a namesake and powerful ability after the color of Kenka Fabric incorporated into their ensemble.
Although Moss the Fawn is now retired, Lupin lives on to track down their nemesis Salt the Necromancer, as seen in Raising a Nuisance. Perhaps String the Rabbit can help track that pesky satyr down, if you believe he controls rifts in space time. |
I did test shots of the environment and lighting on the sets of Kenka Forest to develop final looks and camera tracking.

Shown above is a frame of animation from the side view. The set involved several layers with several inches of space between each piece to enhance the depth of the scene. With a bit of ingenuity, stacked paint cans, coffee cans and books became animation stands.
A rear-screen projection method was used instead of a green or blue screen to create a more immersive environment. |
